Yoru

"Yoru" is the romanized pronunciation of the Japanese word "夜" (night).

The first product is named "Yoru" with the intention of introducing the unique characteristics and beloved sound of Starry Audio through this initial IEM. The name "Yoru" represents the meaning of appreciating the stars in the night sky.

"Yoru" features 3 balanced armature drivers and 1 9.2mm stainless steel dynamic driver. From the beginning of the sound development, the goal was to create a sound tuning suitable for listening to J-POP and ACG genres. The choice of a 9.2mm stainless steel dynamic driver was made to achieve the desired low-frequency quantity and speed. Two of the balanced armature drivers handle the mid-low frequencies, while the remaining driver is responsible for the high frequencies, focusing on the emotional expression and performance of vocals.

The shell of "Yoru" is 3D printed and adorned with a starry theme. Considering the majority of ear shapes, as well as the number and configuration of the drivers, a smaller shell size was chosen. This compact design enhances the overall sound and suits the speed-oriented tuning style.

The stock cable uses Rolling Force's Cola, with a 0.78mm 2-pin connector and a unified 4.4mm termination. Cola adopts a 4-strand braided Litz 5N OFC (oxygen-free copper) structure. With the Litz wire structure, it effectively reduces skin effect and proximity effect, ensuring detail and clarity. The sound of 5N OFC provides a warm and enveloping sensation, along with a serene background. 

While pursuing a refreshing sense of speed, "Yoru" ensures accurate sound reproduction. The emphasis is placed on vocal performance, positioning vocals prominently to capture the sweet and lively singing of the artists. Paired with Rolling Force's Cola, the sound background is as quiet as the night, while vocals and instruments shine like stars. "Yoru" is undoubtedly a product with a distinct sound personality.
