Eminent Ears, based in Hong Kong, initially emerged as a humble idea among a group of friends: to create well-tuned endgame in-ear monitors (IEMs) that would be both affordable and accessible, promoting the highest quality sound to a wide audience. After years of extensive research, they are finally ready to unveil the first IEM project – The Gemstone Series.

Fiery Passion – Eminent Ears RUBY

Eminent Ears has launched their first project, the Gemstone Series, starting with the release of The RUBY in early 2024. Collaborating with Vortex Cables, their goal with The RUBY is to create a well-balanced set of in-ear monitors that provide cohesive frequencies and a spacious sound stage. They aim to cater to audiophiles' preferences and deliver an exceptional audio experience.

Shell Design

Eminent Ears chose the gemstone ruby as the inspiration of their first IEM because it resonates with their design philosophy. They firmly believe that the RUBY, with its deep red color, symbolizes power, passion, and courage. Not only is this a product of their passion towards the audiophile hobby, their determination to create high-quality IEMs from the ground up, but also a way to show their appreciation and love to those who support them.

RUBY adopted a tribrid design, consisting of a SPM Complex Diaphragm dynamic driver, four balanced armature drivers, as well as four electrostatic drivers. A 5-way crossover design ensures excellent separation and cohesion between frequencies, better layering, and prevent bass bleeding.

The ICRS – Individual Chamber Resonance System

Furthermore, the RUBY features an exceptionally wide sound stage, encompassing both horizontal and vertical dimensions. This remarkable soundscape is made possible by Eminent Ears' unique Individual Chamber Resonance System (ICRS). Drawing inspiration from the arrangement of an orchestra and the meticulous acoustic design of concert halls, the ICRS technology employed in the RUBY ensures a captivating and immersive audio experience.
